Kolob Arch via La Verkin Creek Trail is a tough hike in Zion National Park that features stunning scenery and solitude you won't find in more popular areas of the park. This trail follows Timber and La Verkin Creeks. A short spur trail leads to Kolob Arch, which is one of the world's largest freestanding arches Hiking groups are limited to 12 people on this trail. There are three campgrounds in Zion National Park. The South and Watchman Campgrounds are located in Zion Canyon. The Lava Point Campground is roughly an hours drive from Zion Canyon on the Kolob Terrace Road.
