Grotto Trail is an easy kid friendly hike in Zion National Park that offers wonderful scenery and bird watching opportunities. The park says this "trail connects the Zion Lodge to The Grotto. Can be combined with the Lower Emerald Pool and Kayenta Trails to create a 2.5-mile loop." There are three campgrounds in Zion National Park. The South and Watchman Campgrounds are located in Zion Canyon. The Lava Point Campground is roughly an hours drive from Zion Canyon on the Kolob Terrace Road.
