Hiking Trails in Scotts Bluff National Monument
Scotts Bluff National Monument in western Nebraska is a history and outdoors lover’s paradise. Between 1843 and 1869 more than 250,000 people passed by the landmark on their way along the Oregon, California and Mormon Trails. The area was also used by the famed Pony Express. Today hikers can follow the wagon wheels and footprints of pioneers who settled the American West. The monument has trails for all abilities, from a short hike along the original Oregon Trail to the more challenging Saddle Rock Trail.
