Woodward Valley Loop is a difficult hike in Point Reyes National Seashore near the San Francisco Bay area. The park service says this one of greenest trails in the park. Hikers can expect walk through beautiful groves of Douglas firs that sing with ample bird watching opportunities. Nearly 490 different species have been spotted in and along the national seashore. For perspective, that’s more than 50 percent of species of birds in North America. So, don't forget to bring your binoculars. There is only backcountry camping available in Point Reyes, but there are plenty of other car friendly campground in the surrounding area.
