White Oaks Trail is a moderate hiking trail in Hawn State Park near St. Louis. This trail is dog friendly, but your pup has to on leash. Mountain bikers and equestrians are not allowed. Along the way hikers can expect to cross several wet-weather creeks and come upon several sweeping views from large exposed sandstone outcrops. The trail meanders through a mixed hardwood and shortleaf pine forest. The park says keep an eye peeled for wildlife such as white-tailed deer, wild turkeys and owls. Camping is available in Hawn State Park.
