The West Lake Trail is near the Flamingo Visitor Center. This short trail is great for those hiking with young children and is ADA accessible. The park website says "This self-guided boardwalk trail wanders through a forest of white mangrove (Laguncularia racemosa), black mangrove (Avicennia nitida), red mangrove (Rhizophora mangle), and buttonwood (Conocarpus erectus) trees to the edge of West Lake." There is camping available in Everglades National Park. The Long Pine Key Campground and the Flamingo Campground can accommodate both tents and RV's.
