Watchman Peak Trail is short hike with moderate elevation gain in Crater Lake National Park. The trail offers amazing views from a historic fire lookout, bountiful wildflowers and a beautiful view of Wizard Island. This hike is kid friendly. Crater Lake National Park has two established campgrounds. The larger is Mazama Campground, it has about 200 forested sites. For those looking for a more private camping experience, check out the Lost Creek Campground. It has 16 first come first serve sites.
Watchman Peak's historic fire lookout was built in 1932. To this day it is still staffed by rangers during the fire season.
