Otter Point Trail is an easy hike in the Trustom Pond National Wildlife Refuge near Providence, Rhode Island. This hike is a nature lover’s paradise; make sure to bring a pair of binoculars on this trail. The refuge is home to more than 300 bird species, 40 mammal species and 20 species of reptiles and amphibians. Trustom Pond is unique in that it is the only undeveloped coastal saltwater pond in Rhode Island. Also, the refuge is home to nesting sites of two bird species of concern, the Least Tern and the Piping Plover.
