The Tree Farm Trail is an easy family friendly hiking trail in Cuyahoga Valley National Park near Cleveland. The trailhead is located off Major Road. This trail is accessed via the Horseshoe Pond Trailhead. Hikers can expect rolling hills through a mixed hardwood forest beginning and ending near Horseshoe Pond. Keep an eye peeled for wildlife, white-tailed deer, fox, abundant songbirds and even coyotes are often seen in the area. Don't forget your fly rod too, Horseshoe pond is popular for bass and bluegill fishing. Cuyahoga Valley National Park is very pet friendly, which is not the case for many national parks. Dogs are permitted on trails in Cuyahoga Valley, but they must be kept on leash. The Audubon Society considers Cuyahoga Valley National Park an IBA or Important Bird Area. The park offers incredible bird watching opportunities and is home to more than 200 different bird species. For those looking to stay a while, there is camping available inside and around the park.
