Mount Rainier

Three Lakes Trail is a tough day hike or backpacking trip in Mount Rainier National Park that leads hikers to beautiful alpine lakes. The park says "the trail follows Laughing Water Creek as it leads hikers through the forest. Stop to enjoy the loud and soothing sound of the creek from its bank. Atop the ridge hikers will find three small mountain lakes. Mount Rainier can be seen by taking a short half-mile hike beyond the third lake and emerging from the forest into an open area." Mount Rainier has plenty of camping available. Cougar Rock Campground is located in the southwest section of the park, Ohanapecosh Campground is in the southeast, White River is in the northeast section and Mowich Lake is a small tent only campground in the northwest section of Mount Rainier.
