Ridgeline Trail is a very easy kid friendly hike in Theodore Roosevelt National Park that gives hikers an upclose look at badlands scenery. The park says hikers along this trail will "explore the badlands environment along a nature trail with moderate to steep grades. Take along a trail brochure, available at the trailhead, to learn as you adventure. This trail has stairs." This hike is in the park's southern unit. There is camping available in Theodore Roosevelt National Park. The Cottonwood Campground is in the TRNP south unit and the Juniper Campground is located in the north unit.
