Activities & Features

Notes

Station Creek Trail in the Boise National Forest is a great hike just off the Banks Lowman Highway and about an hour away from Boise. The trail climbs pretty much the entire way to the turn around, but along the way offers amazing views of the South Fork of the Payette River and mature forest. Once hikers reach the summit, brace yourself for stunning mountain scenery. Station Creek is big game habitat, especially in the winter and early spring. Deer and elk are extremely common. This trail is kid, mountain bike, dog and equestrian friendly. That said, if you plan on bringing your pup keep them close. There is camping available in the Boise National Forest.
