Spruce Tree House Trail in Mesa Verde National Park is a great hike that leads visitors to the third largest cliff dwelling in the park. The Spruce House was built by Ancestral Puebloans between A.D. 1211 and 1278 and contains about 130 rooms. This trail is perfect for park visitors with small children. The Morefield Campground inside Mesa Verde is a great place to stay during a visit to the park. Campers often see wild turkeys and mule deer from their site.
