Spectra Point Trail is an easy kid friendly hike Cedar Breaks National Monument that offers absolutely amazing views of the Cedar Breaks Amphitheater. Along the way hikers can expect great views of bristlecone pines including one believed to be roughly 1,600 years old. Most of this hike is very exposed to the sun, so make sure to bring plenty of sunscreen and water. If you turn around at Spectra Point this hike is only 2 miles, however if you continue you can add scenery and double the distance. The Point Supreme Campground in Cedar Breaks National Monument is open roughly from mid-June to mid-september. The campground's elevation is at 10,000 feet.
