Silver Falls Trail is great hike for those traveling with children. The trail leads to one of Mount Rainier's prettiest waterfalls and does not have very much elevation gain. NPS says this trail offers "opportunities abound for enjoying the old-growth forest community seen along this trail. Listen for the tapping of woodpeckers. Look for deer and other wildlife. Along the river fly fishermen can often be seen trying their luck. Once at Silver Falls, take time to enjoy the beautiful sight and sound of this popular spot." Mount Rainier has plenty of camping available. Cougar Rock Campground is located in the southwest section of the park, Ohanapecosh Campground is in the southeast, White River is in the northeast section and Mowich Lake is a small tent only campground in the northwest section of Mount Rainier.
