Ship Harbor Trail is an easy family friendly hiking trail in Acadia National Park that meanders through thick coniferous forest to the rocky ocean shoreline. The trailhead is located at Ship Harbor Parking Area on Route 102A. Nearly 340 different bird species have been recorded in Acadia National Park, including twenty-three different species of warblers that breed in the park. The incredible diversity makes Acadia one of the premier bird-watching destinations in the country. Hikers that watch and listen along the trail will likely spot quite a few. Acadia has five campgrounds.
