The Sandy Slough Trail is an easy hiking trail in Lake Somerville State Park near College Station, Texas. This trail is kid friendly and dog friendly, but your furry kids must be on leash. Mountain bikers and equestrians are also permitted on this trail. The park says this trail is "perhaps the most picturesque trail in the Lake Somerville State Park Complex, this primitive trail skirts the Yegua Creek and passes through mature hardwoods and seasonal wetlands. Check with headquarters for conditions." There is camping available in Lake Somerville State Park.
