Saco River Trail is an easy kid friendly day hike in New Hampshire's White Mountains. The park says this trail offers hikers "scenic river views and mountain vistas. The trail starts at the far end of the Sam Willey Trail, ½ mile to Webster Cliff Trail, 2 miles to the Dry River Trail, and 2.5 miles to Dry River Campground." This trail is a wonderful fall foliage hike and is also dog friendly, but your furry friends must be on leash. Crawford Notch is also a great choice for winter outdoor recreation such as snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. There is camping available in Crawford Notch.
