Ramsey Cascades Trail is a difficult hike in Great Smoky Mountains National Park that features wonderful scenery on the way to the park's tallest waterfall. The park says "Ramsey Cascades is the tallest waterfall in the park and one of the most spectacular. Water drops 100 feet over rock outcroppings and collects in a small pool where numerous well-camouflaged salamanders can be found." This trail also passes through the largest section of old growth forest remaining in the park. There is plenty of camping available in Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
