Potholes Trail is a very easy hiking trail in Devil's Lake State Park near Madison Wisconsin. This short but somewhat steep trail passes between narrow quartzite rock faces and a beautiful mixed hardwood forest. This trail is dog friendly, so long as your furry friend is on leash. Many of the parks trails can be combined to form longer hikes.

History

Devil's Lake State park was founded in 1911 and is Wisconsin's most visited and third oldest state park.
