Pothole Point Trail is a very easy kid friendly hike in Canyonlands National Park that is great choice for hikers traveling with the elderly or small children. Because Canyonlands get so little rain, the chances of the Potholes actually having rainwater in them is slim, however you never know and you may get lucky. Regardless, if they have water in or not this trail is a great choice to learn a little bit about desert ecology. This hike is located in the park's Needles District. Canyonlands National Park has two campgrounds, Squaw Flat Campground in The Needles District and Willow Flat Campground in the Island in the Sky District.
