Parfrey's Glen Trail is an easy hiking trail in Devil's Lake State Park near Madison Wisconsin. This trail has a gentle climb and enters an incredibly scenic narrow and lush gorge filled with moss and ferns that are fed by a stream at the bottom of the glen. The park does not allow trail and asked hikers stay on the trail to protect unique and endangered species in the area. Many of the parks trails can be combined to form longer hikes. There is camping available in Devil's Lake State Park and the park is also a great choice for winter outdoor recreation such as snowshoeing.

History

Devil's Lake State park was founded in 1911 and is Wisconsin's most visited and third oldest state park.
