This Nipmuck Trail section is a moderate hike in the Nipmuck State Forest near Hartford. This hike is dog friendly, but your furry friends must be on leash. This trail has blue blazes. In the fall this trail lights up with the changing foliage. There is camping available in the park. Bigelow Hollow State Park makes a great choice for winter outdoor recreation such as cross country skiing or snowshoeing.
