Mesa Arch Trail is a very easy kid friendly day hike in Canyonlands National Park that offers the chance to get a classic national park photo. Mesa Arch is actually on the smaller side of arches in Utah, roughly 15 ft. high and 50 ft. long. However, when the sun crests the La Sal Mountains the arch frames the sunrise creating a view that is truly spectacular. This hike is located in the park's Island in the Sky District and is incredibly popular, especially in the morning. If you intend on taking the sunrise picture, plan on hiking in via headlamp in very early. Canyonlands National Park has two campgrounds, Squaw Flat Campground in The Needles District and Willow Flat Campground in the Island in the Sky District.
