Mallard Creek Trail is an easy hike in Goose Creek State Park, North Carolina. This trail is kid friendly and dog friendly, so long as your furry kids are on leash. The park says this hike "takes visitors to a small overlook on Mallard Creek, where red-winged blackbirds, herons and egrets have been spotted. Tar Kiln Trail originates along this trail at about the halfway mark." There is camping available in Goose Creek State Park.
