The Lukens Lake Trail takes hikers through a conifer forest down to a beautiful lake surrounded by a meadow bursting with wildflowers. Lukens Lake does not have the famous mountain backdrop as many other Yosemite lake hikes, but what it lacks it makes up with a truly amazing array of vegetation and peaceful tranquility. Where there is water in Yosemite there are mosquitos. Plan for bugs and don't forget your fly rod. For those that want a longer hike leave from White Wolf Lodge. There is camping available in Yosemite National Park.
