Live Oak and Huckleberry Loop Trails are very easy hikes in Goose Creek State Park, North Carolina. This trail is kid friendly and dog friendly, so long as your furry kids are on leash. The park says this trail "winds its way through patches of huckleberries and acts as a connector-trail between Live Oak and Mallard Creek trails and features a canopy of live oaks draped with Spanish moss." There is camping available in Goose Creek State Park.

History

This loop-trail follows the shoreline of the Pamlico River for a short distance and then turns inland and passes a historic cemetery dating from the 1880s.
