Kule Loklo Trail is a very easy hike in Point Reyes National Seashore near the San Francisco Bay area. This short hike leads to a replica of the a Coast Miwok Indian Village. Hikers can expect interpretive signs explaining aspects of the Miwok culture and history. The trailhead is located at the north end of the Bear Valley Parking Lot near the Bear Valley Visitor Center. Nearly 490 different species have been spotted in and along the national seashore. For perspective, that’s more than 50 percent of species of birds in North America. So, don't forget to bring your binoculars. There is only backcountry camping available in Point Reyes, but there are plenty of other car friendly campground in the surrounding area.
