The Kootenai National Wildlife Road is a great way to see refuge. Cars are permitted on the road, but we recommend walking or riding your mountain bike, automobiles spook wildlife! Make sure to bring your binoculars because wildlife is everywhere! Waterfowl, raptors and big game such as moose are commonly observed.
