Activities & Features

Interdune Boardwalk is a very easy ADA accessible hike in White Sands National Monument near Las Cruces. The monument says this trail is "fully accessible for people using wheelchairs and strollers, the boardwalk leads you through a fragile interdune area, giving you a close look at many of the wildflowers that grow here, as well as a chance to see an example of a cryptobiotic crust and a plant pedestal." Warning, if you are hiking in the summer time, make sure to carry plenty of water and protection from the sun.

President Herbert Hoover established White Sands National Monument in 1933.
