Humphrey's Peak is not only an amazing hike, but is also Arizona's high point. The summit is in the San Francisco Peaks in the Kachina Peaks Wilderness Area. The trail gives hikers an alpine feel in Arizona and rewards with stunning views from the top. Humphrey's Peak is considered one of the easier high points in the west to summit. There is camping available in the Coconino National Forest.


Humphrey's Peak is named after General Andrew A. Humphreys who served in the Union Army during the Civil War. General Humphrey was a civil engineer by trade but in inspired his men during the war with his personal bravery.
