Hornbek Wildlife Loop in Florissant National Monument is a wonderful trail that offers hikers a closer look at the monument. At four miles in length people who choose to hike this trail get off the beaten path. Expect plenty of wildflowers and wildlife and a look into the monuments colorful history. This trail is kid friendly. There are plenty of campgrounds nearby.

History

The Hornbek Wildlife Loop is named after a pioneer women who had a homestead in the area in the later 1800's.
