Great Meadow Loop Trail is an easy family friendly hiking trail in Acadia National Park that features wonderful scenery. The trailhead is located off Cromwell Harbor Road, which is a short walk from the town of Bar Harbor. The trail connects Acadia with the town and weaves through the forest and a meadow. Watch for wildflowers in the spring and summer. Nearly 340 different bird species have been recorded in Acadia National Park, including twenty-three different species of warblers that breed in the park. The incredible diversity makes Acadia one of the premier bird-watching destinations in the country. Hikers that watch and listen along the trail will likely spot quite a few. Acadia has five campgrounds.
