Notes

Grandview Point Trail is an easy kid friendly day hike in Canyonlands National Park that leads to breathtaking panoramic views. The name Grandview is well deserved for this trail. At the end of the out & back trail hikers are greeted with a stunning view of Monument Basin. This hike is best in the afternoon when sunlight creates a warm glow on the red shale and white sandstone with incredible contrasting shadows throughout. Grandview Point Trail should be on every visitors list to hike, the view is one of the very best in the park. This hike is located in the park's Island in the Sky District. Canyonlands National Park has two campgrounds, Squaw Flat Campground in The Needles District and Willow Flat Campground in the Island in the Sky District.
