Garfield Peak Trail in Crater Lake National Park is a popular hike that rewards with outstanding views of Crater Lake. This 3.4 mile hike is kid friendly. This hike is relatively short but climbs about a thousand feet. It may be the most popular trail in Crater Lake, just because it is so close to the lodge. From the top the panoramic view of Crater Lake and Phantom Ship provides the ideal place stop, rest and take in the majesty that is Crater Lake National Park. Crater Lake National Park has two established campgrounds. The larger is Mazama Campground, it has about 200 forested sites. For those looking for a more private camping experience, check out the Lost Creek Campground. It has 16 first come first serve sites.
