Flood of Fire Trail is a very easy kid friendly day hike in John Day Fossil Beds National Monument that offers sweeping views of the valley below. This trail is dog friendly, but your furry friends must be kept on leash. The monument says "this trail ends at a dramatic cliff face and a view down to the colorful geologic formations along the river valley. It is a gradual climb with a few stair steps." There is camping available in John Day Fossil Beds National Monument.
