The hike to Flatron follow the Siphon Draw Trail and continues on. It's a tough hike in Lost Dutchman State Park near Phoenix. Along the way hikers can expect tremendous views of the Superstitions Mountains and plentiful wildlife. The park says this "trail winds into a canyon known as Siphon Draw, with a 1,000 foot elevation gain to the Basin area. It’s possible to continue hiking to the Flatiron (6 miles roundtrip), but note trail is not maintained past the Basin. Plus, there’s a 1-mile, 2,000 foot elevation gain from Basin." This hike is dog friendly. There is camping available in Lost Dutchman State Park.
