Estero-Glenbrook-Muddy Hollow Road Loop is a moderate hike in Point Reyes National Seashore near the San Francisco Bay area. Hikers can expect tremendous displays of spring wildflowers along this loop as well as a great chance of spotting some tule elk. This hike starts at the Muddy Hollow Trailhead, which is roughly a 15 minute drive from the Bear Valley Visitor Center. Nearly 490 different species have been spotted in and along the national seashore. For perspective, that’s more than 50 percent of species of birds in North America. So, don't forget to bring your binoculars. There is only backcountry camping available in Point Reyes, but there are plenty of other car friendly campground in the surrounding area.
