Coppermine Trail is a moderate family friendly hike in the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area that passes by two old copper mines. This hike is located in the middle section of the park. Along the way hikes can expect thick mixed hardwood forest bursting with songbirds and other critters. This hike can be turned into a wonderful loop by adding part of the AT and Kaiser Trail. And a heads up! Access to the mines is prohibited to protect roosting bats. This trail is dog friendly, but your pup must be on leash. There are campgrounds nearby.
