The Cohab Canyon Trail is a wonderful hike in Capitol Reef National Park near Salt Lake City Utah. The trail offers views of Capitol Dome, but it's most rewarding feature is the opportunity to explore various slot canyons. The hike features modest elevation gain with most of the switchbacks at the beginning. This trail is great for families. There is camping available in Capitol Reef National Park. The Fruita campground is the only developed campground in Capitol Reef, it is located near the visitor center in the Fruita Historic District. There is also no-fee camping at Cathedral and Cedar Mesa Primitive Campgrounds. These two campgrounds have pit toilets and picnic tables, but no water.
