The trail through Lyell Canyon in Yosemite is a wonderful trek along the Lyell Fork of the Tuolumne River. The trail is relatively flat, making it an easy day hike that knocks off a section of both the John Muir and Pacific Crest Trails. It can be muddy in places, especially early in the season. There is camping available in Yosemite National Park.
Chilnualna means leaping waters in the Native Paiute Tribe language.
