Cherry Run Trail is a moderate hiking trail in Ricketts Glen State Park near Scranton, Pennsylvania. This trail is kid friendly and dog friendly, but your furry kids have to be on leash. The park says "near the Lake Leigh dam is access to Cherry Run Trail, where hikers will pass through groves of cherry trees and view evidence of the old logging railroads that passed through this area over 100 years ago. Hikers can connect to Mountain Springs Trail by walking 3.5 miles on Mountain Springs Road." Ricketts Glen State Park makes a great snowshoeing and cross country skiing destination in the winter. There is camping available in Ricketts Glen State Park.
