Chenuis Falls Trail is an easy kid friendly hike in Mount Rainier National Park that leads to a beautiful waterfall a short drive from Seattle. The park says this "hike from the Carbon River entrance on the roadbed to view Chenuis Falls 3.5 miles east of the Carbon River Ranger Station. The trail crosses the Carbon River with footlogs." Mount Rainier has plenty of camping available. Cougar Rock Campground is located in the southwest section of the park, Ohanapecosh Campground is in the southeast, White River is in the northeast section and Mowich Lake is a small tent only campground in the northwest section of Mount Rainier.
