Cedar Bluff Loop Trail is an easy hiking and mountain biking trail in Castlewood State Park minutes away from St. Louis. This trail is accessed via the Al Foster Trail through two early 20th century railroad tunnels. Hikers can expect a quiet forested hike with plenty of wildlife and wildflowers. It slowly climbs to the highest point in the park then drops back down to a creek bed. In the summertime make sure to bring some plastic bags to harvest a few blackberries from several large brambles. This trail has brown blazes and is great for children and dogs, but your furry kids must be kept on leash.
