Bushey Point Trail is a very easy trail in Leesylvania State Park near Washington D.C. This historical hike is kid and dog friendly (on leash). This trail has green blazes. No Equestrians trails in this park.

History

Leesylvania State Park was first settled by Henry Lee II in 1747. Lee II was the father of Revolutionary War hero Henry 'Light Horse Harry' Lee and grandfather of famed Civil War General Robert E. Lee. George Washington mentions he visited Leesylvania three times in his diaries. During the Civil War the land was also used as a small confederate hold and gun emplacement.
