Beehive Trail is an easy hiking trail in Acadia National Park that leads incredible views. The trailhead is located about 100 feet north of the Sand Beach Parking Area. Along this spectacular trail hikers can expect to hold to iron rungs along exposed steep cliffs. The elevation gain is worth it though, as the view of Sand Beach and the surrounding area are nothing short of astonishing. Nearly 340 different bird species have been recorded in Acadia National Park, including twenty-three different species of warblers that breed in the park. The incredible diversity makes Acadia one of the premier bird-watching destinations in the country. Hikers that watch and listen along the trail will likely spot quite a few. Acadia has five campgrounds.
