Notes

Beaver River Preserve Trail is an easy family friendly hike near Providence Rhode Island. This hike is actually composed of two trails. The first one mile loop is marked with yellow blazes and weaves through spectacular rocky outcrops. The second spur trail takes hikers to the Beaver River. Along the way hikers will pass several small pools, bogs, a swamp and other wetlands and mixed hardwood forest.

History

A spur trail follows an old cart path from the southeast corner of the existing loop down to the river. Take this trail and you will pass a colonial era grist mill.
