Lakeside Trail is a great hike that weaves around Bear Creek Lake State Park. The trail hugs the shoulder of the lake. Look out for waterfowl! This trail has orange blazes. This trail is dog friendly, but your furry friends must on leash. There is camping available in Bear Creek Lake State Park.
History
Bear Creek Lake State Park is on the National Register of Historic Places. It was established in 1938 when approximately 100 members of the CCC built the 50-acre lake.
