Bar Island Trail is an easy hiking trail in Acadia National Park that features incredible scenery. The trailhead is located on Bridge Street in Bar Harbor. Along this family friendly trail hikers will follow a sand bar to a thickly forested island and enjoy incredible harbor views. Nearly 340 different bird species have been recorded in Acadia National Park, including twenty-three different species of warblers that breed in the park. The incredible diversity makes Acadia one of the premier bird-watching destinations in the country. Hikers that watch and listen along the trail will likely spot quite a few. Acadia has five campgrounds.
