Arrow Island Trail is an easy family friendly hike in the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area that feature incredible wildlife and history. This hike is located in the southern section of the park. Hiking this trail is a walking history lesson. In the early 1900s the area was extremely popular with vacationers. Today, hikers can see the remnants of hotels, a casino, farmlands and more. Also, don't forget to look up, the rocky cliffs make ideal peregrine falcon habitat. For those looking for a longer adventure the Slateford Loop Trail can extend the hike. This trail is dog friendly, but your pup must be on leash. There are campgrounds nearby.
